Bonnycastle

The best neighborhood in Louisville? Our neighbors think so, and work hard to make Bonnycastle wonderful.

Bonnycastle Homestead is one of the neighborhoods comprising Louisville's Highlands area. Our borders extend from Bardstown Road to Cherokee Park, and from Eastern Parkway to Speed Avenue.

The neighborhood contains homes of varied sizes and styles, and is interspersed with multi-family buildings. Most structures were constructed from the 1890's through the 1920s. While the area experienced some decline in the 1950's and 1960's, dedicated community members helped restore vitality in subsequent decades. Today, the neighborhood is strong, and neighbors take pride in the community we maintain together. Residents and visitors enjoy tree-shaded streets, historic architecture, cultural offerings of the greater Highlands area, proximity of Cherokee Park, and the community of friendly neighbors.
